Even if I was born in Oroquieta, I was raised in a simple town called Medina. Located at the Northern part of Mindanao Philippines.
Simple as it is, it boasts nature wonder from mountains to aquatic resources .

Medina is a 4th class municipality in the province of Misamis OrientalPhilippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 25,810 people in 4,945 households.- http://bit.ly/op8kjf
Where is it? No one would probably pin point the place because the name Medina is also a city in the Hejaz region of Western Saudi Arabia and also a town in Ozamis City. So when you look for my town Medina, you should consider adding Philippines or Misamis Oriental to really narrow down the results.

Duka Bay, this may sound familiar now. Yes the famous beach in the region, and it is one of Medina's favored spots.

Going to Medina is easy. Let's put on a scenario, you are from abroad and you want to visit the place so...
1. Book a plane to Manila or Cebu, Philippines. (just refer to each place)

2. Manila- from Manila take a plane (CebuPac, PhilAir, ZestAir) or a ferry that usually takes 2 nights (Superferry) to Cagayan De Oro (CDO) or Butuan City/Nasipit (BXU).

2.Cebu- from Cebu take a plane (CebuPac, PhilAir, ZestAir) or a ferry that takes overnight (Superferry, Cebu Ferries, TransAsia, Gothong) to Cagayan De Oro (CDO) or Butuan City/Nasipit (BXU).

3. CDO - from CDO port take a Cab (or hire the cab that goes directly to Medina but costs a lot) to Agora Terminal and take the Bus that goes to Butuan and just tell the conductor or driver to drop you at Medina, and Walla! you're there in 1-2hrs.

3.BXU - from BXU port take a motorsikad to the Terminal and ride a Bus that goes to Cagayan De Oro and tell the conductor or the driver to drop you to Medina, and Walla! you're there in more or less 1hour.

Enjoy our town.

Creme of the Crop. Like all Filipinos, the people of Medina values hospitality and friendliness. We offer talent and skills. One of the great people that excelled in his profession is Mr. Joey G. Pelaez, the executive director of CSCA-DEPED. Behind the great people are the training grounds. As far as i could remember, these are the different schools found in Medina: Cabug Elementary School, Medina Central School, Medina National Comprehensive Highschool, Maanas Elementary and National Highschool, Grace Christian School, St. Isidore School, and a few more government schools and one private Christian School.
